I could really use some good pictures that show the wiring of that inside PC power harness.Ī verification of which channel is feeding the subwoofer amp would be great too (and verifying it does not short L+R). Surely there are more out there that have access to this hardware. So, the only thing I can think of is that it is feeding L or R into the subwoofer input, not both. But they most not be shortling L+R going in to the subwoofer amp, as they would then be shorting it indirectly for the stereo input into the i/o board. so somehow in the jumble in those pics it is split and runs to both. And the audi in of the subwoofer amp is an RCA connector.įrom the pics, I can see that it looks like there is a 1/8" to RCA adapter on the subwoofer RCA input. The mono out of the i/o board is not populated. But I don't dare try this w/o confirming the wiring.Īnother curious issue is that I was missing the subwoofer amp (and the subwoofer itself (really just a 6.5" 4 ohm woofer). except that I'm thinking that +5 standby comes from the power supply, and +5 standby switched feeds the mainboard from the fuse/watchdog board (on the +5 standby pin of the ATX power supply). The issue is I'm not sure what 'digital ground' is vs ground, and not sure what +5 standby, and +5 standby switched is. The reset/watchdog PC looks like it will assert the power on to the power supply (PC is suppose to be set to power on on power loss). I believe that on the interior of the PC, the wiring 'wedges' in between the power supply ATX connector and the motherboard ATX power connector. Hoping someone out there can shed some light on this, as it one of the puzzles left to solve. I've heard many raw thrills games use this harness, but I can't find documentation anywhere which describes this internal wiring. +5V standby would seem to be (by name) connected to the +5V Standby line of the power supply ? But then what is +5V switched ? In particular it has +5V Standby, and +5V Standby Switched. I'm thinking it probably connects to mainboard headers and a 4 pin drive power connector inside. What I'm unsure of is this internal wiring. The wiring on this is labelled, and I know it takes at least 5V from the host PC. The watchdog/reset board has a cable that runs to an I/O slot on the PC. I have the manual which includes a wiring diagram. I'll use a HD TV initially for a display. I've determine an Optiplex 740 is used, and I happen to have one. But it did come with the USB security key. The cab came sans guns, sans monitor, sans marquee, sans subwoofer amplifier board, and sans PC. So, I'm the proud? owner of a 42" Terminator Salvation Deluxe.
